“Benazir—An unfulfilled Dream”

“I salute the people of Pakistan. Whenever the country is faced with a crisis, they demonstrate discipline and unity. I am confident that whenever their country requires any sacrifices they will not find wanting”.
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who lived and died for the well-being of Pakistan, restoration of democracy and welfare of the oppressed section of Pakistani society, defines the Pakistani nation in above words. She had great faith and confidence in the people of Pakistan.
“The people are never wrong. They can be poor, they can be hungry but their thinking can never go astray,” she understood and praised the Pakistani nation with great love and respect.
She gave up her life but could not keep herself away from the nation. Between her and the public there was no barrier. The dictator, Musharraf left no stone unturned in defaming her by false allegations and forcing her into illegal exile at the end of which she was warmly received on her arrival in Karachi. She died a martyr’s death amongst the public, away from her home and family.
Her life started with mourning and ended with grief. It had been appalling, painful and gloomy. Her enemies were cowards who dared to confront a lonely eastern woman who was audacious, heroic and fearless. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was only 24 years old when she came back to Pakistan in June of 1977 after completing her studies at Harvard and Oxford, perhaps with the aim of serving the nation that was looking for another leader like Z A Bhutto. But merely after two weeks of her return to Pakistan, history took a bizarre turn when her father – Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto – was ousted as prime minister, in a military coup led by General Zia who took over the government and declared martial law in the country.
General Zia snatched power in the early hours of 5th of July 1977 and mercilessly violated the honour of Pakistan’s constitution that was formulated after a long struggle by Shaheed Z A Bhutto with the consensus of all political parties. For the sake of lengthening his illegal rule over Pakistan, General Zia through conceit and brutality soon plotted to permanently eliminate the popular public leader by ensnaring him in a forged conspiracy-to-murder charge. For the young Pinky (Benazir’s nickname), this was the most agonizing turn of events occurring right before her eyes.
However, taking complete charge of the situation, courageous and audacious Benazir tried to stay tranquil and took over the responsibilities of her father’s Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) together with her mother – Begum Nusrat Bhutto. She also strove to congregate PPP stalwarts and other political forces in the country to compel the wicked dictator to drop malicious murder charges against Z A Bhutto and announce elections as promised by him. One and a half year of her youthful life, she spent in and out of house arrests and political imprisonment.
Undeterred, BENAZIR BHUTTO remained more steadfast and peaceful than ever. Very valiantly, she tolerated the brutality of Zia. She met her father in jail and shared both his pains and aspirations. She proved a stronghold for her father. Never did she revert to violence of any kind despite great mental torture inflicted by the dictator.
On 04 April 1979 the gloomiest day in the political history of Pakistan, her beloved father, a great public leader, originator of atomic Pakistan and author of the Pakistani constitution – was put to death in an orchestrated judicial murder. This was a crucial moment for Benazir. She writes in her memoir, Daughter of the East, “I told him on my oath in his death cell, I would carry on his work.” She also writes in the same book, “I didn’t choose this life; it chose me.”
The spitefulness of craven and timorous Zia-ul-Haq did not just end here. He continued to subject bereaved Benazir to his viciousness. Defying all attempts to stop her, Benazir struggled to muster her party partisans for a strong political agitation against General Zia. After frequent bouts of house arrest, during the summer of 1981, she was imprisoned in a desert cell of Sukkur. She narrates in “Daughter of the East” about the darkest days and nights of Sukkur Jail, “The summer heat turned my cell into an oven. My skin split and peeled, coming off my hands in sheets. Boils erupted on my face. My hair, which had always been thick, began to come out by the handful. Insects crept into the cell like the invading armies. I tried pulling the sheet over my head at night to hide from their bites, pushing it back when it got too hot to breathe.”
Benazir put up with all pains and atrocities of wicked Zia but did not bow before him and did not compromise over her principles. Benazir was inspired by the great lady of Karbala “Hazrat Bibi Zainab S’A” who went through great troubles inflicted by spiteful Yazeed but heroically accomplished the mission of her Brother Imam Hussain A’S.
Benazir Bhutto preferred death over compromise. Although today she is physically not with us but her wisdom, her vision, her manifesto, her political theory and her thought is still alive and we can never alone in the presence of her sweet memories”.
In a mail to me on the situation of Parachinar she had showed great grief and had promised me, “Coming into power once again I will make Parachinar a piece of heaven”. Today we, the people of Parachinar are missing her as our only hope was crushed by her untimely death leaving her affectionate promise unfulfilled.

BeNazeer wsa a beautiful woman politician of Pakistan and what the world saw at her death that she was revered by many millions of Pakistani citizens. Her destiny was to live and die for her political enterprise.

I have the highest respect for Benazeer Bano Bhutto-Zardari. Both she as well as her iconic father were the greatest fans of my art (Yes! Saulmallukii Slyma I am an ARTIST NOT A PARASITE) and always felt and canidly expressed that my art was too expensive for them.. Nusrat visited my Ziuggurat Gallery show several times and underlined that Benazeer wanted her to tell me too that my art is too costly. It correctly is so …. if one is caught in 99-Ka ChucKKKer.
Anyway, I am an Equal Opportunity guy (not gay!). BB accumulated assets far beyond her known sources of income. She allowed Yusuf Rimzi to be handed over to USA withpout any court proceedings, without any extradition formalities, all this riggmorole just on a telephone call from the SOS (Secretary of State = Foreign Minister) from USA.
That was disgraceful. If Rimzi had committed any crime, he should have been tried and sentenced, punished in Pakistan. Surely, Benazeer knew enough of Political Science to learn that there exist controlling Articles 1 to `10 of the Constitution. And there was no Extradition gtreaty or Tradition then prevailing between USA and Pakistan.
Similarly, Sir (Hajji) Nawaz SharrReef allowed FBI and CIA to brutally hunt down MIR AMAL KANSI in DG Khan and levied the blame on Sir Farooq Leghari. Kasi sent an Affidavit to me that he murdered no one and it would have been better if Nawazu had him tried and shot dead in Pakistan. I think Nawaz was very delightfully-elated that a 3d Asst State Attorney in Virginia (whose naath needs to be penetrated and cozily broken, looser) jactitated that PakistANis can sell their mothers and sisters for $50-100. SVP, kindly Ask Najam Sethi he will gracioiusly confirm it.
These two incidents seminally proved to USA that to our wild n wicked Asstablishment rule of law meant nothing, that our courts in pre-New National Judicial Policy era were loyal rubber-stampers anonymous.
I was the only and the lone voice raised against the That Was the Evil That Was.
The mess and humiliation that we are encountering and suffering from today, draining down (unless some Miracle happoens, which will inshawLAW happen) into the oblivion of history … is due to the above two dastardly acts by BB and NS.
NS transferred over $2.5 billions abroad and BB ocver $1.5 Billion. So much for their solid faith in Pakistan.
BB was bright, beautiful and trusting. She is gone. Her near and dear ones should restore than $1.5 billion to the National exchequer.
As far as Hajji Nawaz SharrReef is concerned; he should try to be honest and repent and humbly explain why he handed over KASI to USA on a mere phone call by the United States S O S; and why he is idiotically claiming thAT under him Pakistan had boundless prosperity, dont you recall that the country was bankrupt for all practical purposes, with forex reserves of less than $300 Million in 1999 borrowed mostly from the likes of AYR. Where did the 2500 Acres Farm House in Gone With the RaiWIND stem from. NS is corrupt to core and hius two sons have already acquired British nationality .. no harm there, but dont take us for a ticketless/purcheeless ride re your nationalism asnd patriotism.
If NS takes a Lie Detection test, the machkine will go bonkers….
Between NS and BB, I would vote for BB. She had good taste in art as well as she had a vision for pakistan not withstanding Surrey Palace and her Swiss Bank Accounts. She was wrtongfully betrayed by people like Naheed Khan and pseudoDocterter Babar Awaan who sold jobs, peddled her influence and used her Name left right and inbetweenities.
I think a day shall come soon when both these dudes are ordered to be administered Lie Detection Tests under Article 164 of the Law of Evidence (QANOONE SHAHADAAT) which I proposed and drafted (not even asking for airfare) regarding transparency, and the Ombudsman Law is also my learned-catering on accountability and sunshine.

It is a tradition among the believers not to talk ills of people who are not with us anylonger. We are all sinners and do not have the ability or the authority to judge others since we shall all be judged one day by the God almighty.
Mr Observer, you are right my comments are not relevant to Pakistan situation. Nevertheless, I have observed the wrath of God almighty occuring in Pakistan to the biblical dimension, earthquakes and Floods right across the whole legnth of Pakistan(starting from Swat the holy land which was raped by Pkistan military) reminding everyone that no unjust and criminal activities go unpunished. You would probably say the law of karma or science in action.

Unfulfilled dream? I think not. She was a nightmare! She had two opportunities and she blew both, leaving an almighty mess behind her. Please, let’s move away from erecting or glorifying false idols.
Truth does not hurt except that its realization is always bitter (but very-much better!). The Observer – - from our nighbourly India — has some chips on his shoulders, let him Bush (‘N brush) it up, safety valves, et al. Its nice of him to carry chips, his counterparts in Pakistan carry unmlicensed guns and weapons of massive destruction.
There is much more wisdom and courage in what Mrs Z. Khan has descfribed succinctly. I cannot verse it albeit it (reign of BB) was much worse.
But after I posted my Comment (exclusive of six typos!), I saw the breaking newz on TV that Shahbaz SharrReef claims that he made investments in United Kingdom in order to fulfill family needs. That is indisposable nonsense (or as our English Medium Semi-literatti would paraphrase in their twisted twang: supah-’poppycock’). Truth of the matter is this : huge amount of moneys were illegally/illicitly/corruptly siphoned off and laundered abroad even before 1992.
You will recall what happened to forex accounts of ther common people. These were frozen and people forced to take Rs 42 per $, while billions had been transferred abroad by likes of Nawaz, Shahbaz and Choudhurrys who doubled up their bank balances within a week. The Sheeda Tully o’Rawalpindi, even had his wife imported from California transfer her kitty.
The Golden Era of Rabidly-Accelerated Corruption in Pakistan dawned with Nawaz SharrReef in 1985.
Nawaz was chosen by hands-in-glove Jilani after the Shariefs constructed a large bungalow for Governor Jilani in Lahore Cantt, as outright-freebie.
The Mistri Sharief-Jee family used to reside in a 1-Room shack in Brandreth Road when Pakistan came into existence (I was studying at the Central Model Junior School), and so on and so fo…rth. Nawaz’s two sons are mere run of the mill fuddy-duddies operating with over $2.5 billions of unearned easy mondey siphoned off from Pakistan. Yet the likes of Wharton-educated Iqbal of KasurJee claim they pine for another opportunity to rule (and LARD-OVER) the Country..
NAWaz has stated that “I do not want to invest even a counterfeit penny (paisa) in Pakistan”. If Nawaz or his kitchen-cabinet of thirdrate and unethical Chartered Accountants want to deny that, they are invited to take inocuous lie detection test, and if they pass it, I will exodus myself from Pakistan.
Since our Asstablishment fell on its face in Dacca (l971) , over $225 Billions have been money-laundered and siphoned off from Pakistan. Today our currency is worse than that of even Nepal and Bangladesh and we are the unfettered laughing stock of the civilized world.
The Great Sycophancy Race is going on and on in (almost bankrupt) Pakistan, and kindly do tell me this: is there any other country where hyper-sycophancy advertisements, designer euologies and protocol (all manifesting Ego Trips for our geader-leadership in all four branches of goods governance) are routinely accorded at this huge scale at public expense?
It is obvious that Pakistan has been surrounded and gherra-dawlowed by wounding up luggar-buggers and hyienas. It brings to my mind the warnimg by God All Mighty, See Holy Quran 17:16.

Both Nawaz and Zardari (and BB) habve huge accounts in Switzerland, Leichenstein, Moroco, Slovakia, France, UK, UASA, Canada.

I say it categorically that Nawaz SharrREEF is more far corrupt than Zardari. Both should simply submit to LIE DETECTION TESTS if they have even an iota of integrity and honesty left in them.

I must say that there was no divine retribution in the floods, earthquakes etc. So many children were killed or made orphans. Is that god’ justice? The real culprits in Pakistan remained all hale and hearty in GHQ, upper echelons of power and propaganda etc. In fact these guys got extra amunition to spread slander against India (the supposed cause of the floods!), USA, jews etc. How much of the foreign help went into their pockets and was used for making propaganda for more terrorism recruits? How many pakistani terrorist organization made use of the label of “charity” to make islamofascist propaganda for themselves after floods, earthquakes, eid festivals etc?

I will be pleased to pay, if you cannot afford it, for your trip (by bus!) for a 7-day stay in Lahore including a one-everning chaperoned yatra to our Diamond Market (Heera Mandii). It will fulfill your food-for-thought and overhaul your trust deficiency.

As regards coming to Lahore (Pakistan, Land of the Mother Sindhu river ) – I would love to do it if I don’t have to kneel in front of a quisling of islam for persmission to do so. I have my self-respect. Begging quislings (of arab and turkish racist and imperialists) to allow me to visit our river, the name giving mother-river (now raped by the muslims) of the hindus – how can I allow such an insult to myself?

What do you mean by xenophbia?
Pakistan is hindu land and pakistanis are (majority-wise) descendants of hindus. Where is the question of xenos (=alien)? If agents of islam from Arabia snatch this land and its people and fill their minds with hate for hindus – it is not alien to us.
I don’t need anyone’s invitation for visting the Sindhu river and the people living there. Nor do I need to take any persmission from agents and quislings of arabic islamic imperialism. Hindus are not determining politics, boundaries, culture etc. in Arabia. An arab does not have to take permission from a hindu to visit his land.
Khalaas comes only after honesty, justice and sincerity in discussion have pervailed.
