We have to be the change, we wish in country

Terrorism is not a new word for anyone but it is tightening its grip on Pakistan day by day and we seem to be losing this war against terrorists. It’s not the time to chew the cud of hackneyed ideas. Several news items appear daily in newspapers and on the electronic media, reporting merciless killings of men, women and innocent school children.
Today a child was killed for no fault of his but no one feels bothered about it. People are slaughtered and murdered on the spot and our lips remain silent. The whole nation seems to be desensitized as if accepting this ongoing tragedy of extinguishing lives. The flames of this fire have engulfed the entire country from Parachinar to Karachi. Report says that parallel to Government, these terrorists’ organizations are strengthening themselves economically and are involved in both business as well as making money through unfair means of smuggling arms and narcotics. There is no time to be wasted to make the future of Pakistan dark in the hands of a handful of terrorists. Such an irrational bent of mind is sheer wastage of time. Terrorism has is fast converting into a dangerous war and this war has to be fought and won for the future of coming generations. The war is now Pakistan’s war and Pakistan is suffering because of it. No one else can be relied upon for helping us out of this grave situation. To make every area and region of our country terror free and peaceful, each one of us would have to gather on a single platform raising a single voice against this evil which is breeding like a noxious parasite within different sections of the society.
If we examine the last one decade, more than terrorists and their organizations, the common man of Pakistan has suffered most harm. The attack on SSP Ch.Aslam’s house is a big challenge as none of the forces are capable of taking stern actions against terrorists and the poor government official and his family would be left to face the consequences by themselves.
No one can deny that today FATA is no more a suitable living place for the people. The richer echelons of the area have migrated leaving the poor to suffer and die. Taking the example of Parachinar, anyone wanting to travel to Peshawar but cannot afford expensive air tickets offered by the local greedy businessmen flying small rented aeroplanes for looting already browbeaten people, has to travel in trucks covered by tarpaulin in the most inhuman way. Many opportunists are doing much profitable business in FATA but have cleverly shifted their families to settled areas of the country.
Today when we realize that even our school-going are not safe then it would be our stupidity not to let any stone unturned in the greater national and international interest in taking concrete actions against terrorists’ organizations. It is about time that we draw our priorities as per the demand of the sensitive nature of present times.
Increased killing of Hazara Shia in Quetta and Shia Toori tribe in Parachinar is another threat for Pakistan. If this massacre is not checked now, it can take Pakistan back into the darkest era of sectarian clashes that would bathe our streets, mosques, mourning procession and Imam-Bargahs with the blood of innocent people.
By terrorizing and pressurizing others, criminals think it to be a useful tool in making authorities subservient to their will. They are quite ignorant of the fact that spreading violence is indirectly pushing themselves towards eminent disaster. How correct that;
“Nothing good ever comes of violence.”
Power combined with reason is the need of the hour. Some of us maintain that responsibility falls mainly on Govt to solve this grave problem, others argue that only Army can do so. Neither political government nor Army alone can wipe out this filth unless there is public will to stand up against militancy. We have to change our outlook, attitudes and behaviour towards everything. All the political parties, institutions, government along with Army need to co operate with each other and devise strategies to tackle the situation which is becoming bad to worse.
Petty issues, conflicts and disputes have to be put aside, concentrating only and only on how to stop this deadly war. We would have to move above all differences and come together as terrorism is weakening us economically, socially and politically. We must resolve to deal sternly with the present problems that are unlike all previous ones. Rightly observed by Nelson De mille;
“If everyone howled at every injustice, every act of barbarism, every act of unkindness, then we would be taking the first step towards a real humanity”

Terrorism is tool, a tactic of the weak. Pakistan has been in some form
jihad for 60 years. It is not a new phenomena.
You can’t say that US is the enemy and not have a jihad.
You can’ say Hind is the enemy and not have a jihad.
You can’t say Baluch, Sufi, Shia, Christians, etc.
If Violence doesn’t solve anything then How did White Man come to own the World.

Well that is the truth! Americans were conned into paying the Pakistanis 20 billion USD to kill 1700 American soldiers.
The Pakistanis may not be knowing whether their fathers were Turks, Arabs, Persians, Greeks, British or Indians, but they still know how to screw the Americans.

Your new article paints a different picture, too much political line and very few productive solutions for your little beautiful corner of the world. Your plea to make USA war into a Pakistan war is no different than what the Indian leaders practiced almost three hndred years ago, and dicouraged those who were opposing occupation. The Pashtoon muslims were the single unit which fought the Brits throughout their stay of only one hundred years under adverse conditions. Most of the non-muslim gentlemen have not said a single sentence against the Rajas and Maharajas who cooperated with the colonialists in order tobe allowed to keep their vast rich estates and get rid of the muslim rulers whom todate they consider turks, persians and arabs, not indian rulers.
Your tribe is making a grave mistake if they were to follow the leaders of Northern Alliance who facilitated the occupation of Afghanistan by foreign elements. There are no terrorists or insurgents( the same terminology which the Brits used against the resistance) in Pakistan, but straightforward resistance against occupation and injustice. Pakistan military is not a match against Pashtoons, the waziris, afridis, shinwaris, orakzais, durranis and even mohmands. They do not negotiate with foreigners and are not trustworthy either. One must defeat them on the battle ground or accept their demands. I know that tooris are very peaceful people but this is becoming your weakness in current situation particularly relying on Pakistan military to provide security. Your future is in self reliance, reconciliation with your neighbours and extensive commerce, not in politics and engaging yourself in war which is not yours or any one in Pakistan. You are probably aware that the so called terrorists insurgents and people with other labels go daily to Peshawar Bannu and Queta cities, have a powerful lunch of protein diet and then walk back to their territory on foot, Bus, hitch hike or take a motor cycle ride and surprise the intruder foreigners.
If you cannot protect Afganistan or Pakistan, try to protect your community and this should be your top priority.Yours is a border town for no fault of yours, simply man made by the colonalists. Good luc, more self reliance and more diplomacy without aligning your people with loosers.

I am surprised that even you are now counting the wooden dollars. I genuinely feel sorry for Pakistan, who find themselves in the Baby- lonian prison and listen to the crap which they receive from the flat footed Americans. Mr Musharaf, who showed a pistol to a reporter on the TV, stating that this guarantees his security, was the former President and was sitting on the life line of the 180 million Pakistanis. You are taunting them that they are relying on Americans donations without having the slightest idea how much the USA owes to Saudis, simply because they have no hard currency to pay for oil. I am not counting the money which they ceased from Libya in broad daylight on account of non-payments against oil suppls. Be fair and sympathise with the neighbours, who are simple victims of their clever leaders as well as foreign so called super power. My advice, do not cultivate animosities with your neighbours like the Israeli Govt.

because the other countries have to buy dollars in order to buy oil.

American can default on their debt anytime they devalue the dollar that
is why china has pegged their currency to the dollar so as to not loose on their treasury bonds.
All the money that saudi arabia earns from oil has to either buy dollar or invest in western
assets or buy American military equipment. every time they buy bonds on other countries,
they are buying american dollars.

I usually do not like to write or speak on Sectarian Issues, but at the moment the game has gone far behind, from a “Sectarian Differences to Massacre”

I am not supposed to tell you what the future holds for those who live beyond their means, but do not rely on gulf states who are currently selling oil against promisary paper, not against dollars. They are also on the buying spree to buy everything they can lay their hands in in the USA, Europe and beyond, following the seventies strategy of the americans when they set up an with exchange rate against the European currencies and bought share holding in European industry. China exports to the USA are enormous and the dollars thy get are used by them to support weak European countries and for investment in Australia and Africa.
Did I say too much? Do not underestimate the opponents! I am not waiting for the end in money game but let us put everything in prospective. who is the current paymaster of the world, the USA is certainly not the one. Infact they are just ahead of Greece but not very far from the candidates who are lined up for bankruptcy. Do not buy dollars if you can.

Why do’nt you cut down shia/muslim issue? For centuries hindus, muslims(shias and sunnis)and sikhs have lived more or less peacefully in your part of the world. The brits then allowed the formtion of politicl parties and suddenly attitudes changed and Pakistan was born with muslim league party. Then a horde of migration took place and out came more political parties and ethnic differences were broughout not for a dialogue but to support violence. The military could not sit still in their god damn barracks and started participating fully in the political arena and with the use of violence.
Pakistn military continued to loose its relevancy for the benefit of the country and followed the British colonial policy, and here I must say the Indian mlitary and the civilian leadership did everything to proplong the conflicts within their respective societies. On this liberal blogue Indains and Paistanis are not going to let go the religion dogma. Politics and politics alone is to blame for what you find in your countries. How many of your political leaders have studied political science, or philosophy or religion? Probably very few. In my country we tell our children to learn a profession for living before they think of serving the community in politics.
Tooris have no conflict with sunni Pashtoons, but if they are taking sides and supporting the military who are indiscriminately firing artillery pieces or supporting the yankees war, then they are a party in the conflict and should not squak when the retaliaton comes. Neither ISI nor the Pakistan military is in a position to protect you. They do not have the guts to walk about in Islamabad or other large cities wearing a military uniform. They must decide if they support the USA or those who resist occupation.
Get out of politics and have a dialogue with htose whom you reckon are going to harm you.

BTW, “Be the change you want to see in the world” is a Mahatma Gandhi phrase which is what has lead to the religious hysteria in Pakistan today. Please choose a much more appropriate phrase from secular Jinnah to advise Pakistanis, and not something said by a religious throat slicing violent bigot like Mahatma Gandhi.

You are from the ancient world. Islam has not been fully understood but mulims throughout the world are fortunate and are likely to discover in coming times what Islam is without involving politics. Here is the latest example; The Saudi King who is eighty seven years old has announced that following Islamic sharia women will be granted equal rights with, the voting rights to be give in year 2015.

There is no “voting rights” in the kuran, certainly not for the non-muslims.
Muslims will also discover in the coming time that islam/kuran contains a lot many lies, defects, deficiencies, pervertions and even blasphemies. Will they then have the decency and honesty and courage to do the rightful? Ther real test is indeed yet to come – but hopefully is not too far into the future.

Not many in Pakistan know that Mr Jinnah was aiming to create a country in Dar Al Islam, which is the best among the muslim countries, more modern and beacon of hope for not only muslims but the humanity. The kingdom of modern Avalon for the new generation and not of dead. Throughout its life the clouds have not left this little kingdom and many a times its military instead of defending against the outside enemy used its might against own citizens. The worst that in recent years its civilian as well as military ventured into attacking the only people of this kingdom who not only helped create the kindom, but preserved their freedom throughout history against the mighty ones. They marched into swat, a sacred place which resisted the Emperor Aurangzeb’s army and refused to pay taxes. To this day they have remained their own masters.Invaders entering their land have never remained after the combat what they were before the invasion. Pakistan military over time lost its prestige( not previously tarnished so much by its defeats against the Indian military) among the civil population and now in the world after accusations of its plastic ally. Was this the PAK……kingdom Mr Jinnah had in mind, to be run by the most incompetent and underworld bosses? Can Mr Jinnah Avalon hold out until the revolution of the muslim youth in the arabian world which is likely to take time, to reach its shores and can they withhold the temptation to start a catastrophic action against an enemy which is being down graded gradualy next door? De-escalation is called for at this jucture, not emotions but cool head is the call of the day. The cleaning up of the military as well as the civilian leadership is necessary to restrict the activities of any possible fifth columnists.

You are raising questions, which people did raise thousand of years ago. The answer was to use your brain, that is the gift of the almighty to the mankind. The scriptures are not there to recommend how one organises a community or what sort of dress he or she is going to wear? You want a voting right, you are welcome in Europe and the USA. The elected Govts could not care less about the voters ; they interpret what is rigt and wrong and not what the people desire. Is your Govt. doing what you want them to do? You would probably like to send all low caste, muslims and christians out of India? I would probably prefer to have only caucasian people in Europe? do you recon the Govts are liely to accept it. In Berlin local elections a new party was created with the name “PIRATE” and received 12 percent vote more than those received by the well established liberal party. Are they going to move anything? Perhaps one day. This voting right is for the birds!!

Besides your knowledge is out of date. Turkish new Govt. has been gradualy downgrading the incompetent Generals who were co-participants in previous Govts. and were very popular with Pakistani senior military officers including Mr Musharaf, and have more or less reset its foreign policy more towards muslim world and no longer any military cooperation with Israel.
The people which brought about the end of Bezantinian might and ruled several European states for centuries is now leading the peaceful awakening of the people of Dar Al Islam. The voice of the Egyptian youth in the Tahreer square was very loud and clear that they desire democracy similar to the one in Turkey. I am not a Turk but a simple muslim and part of the Ummah, who holds no grudge aginst any one
