Blood Flows Freely in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – The Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ – Army of Jhangvi), a Pakistan-based, al-Qaeda-linked, anti-United States, Sunni Deobandi sectarian-turned-jihadi group, has let loose a reign of terror against the Shi’ite minority.
In its latest attack, the LeJ on Tuesday killed 13 Shi’ites traveling on a bus to work in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan province. The attackers forced the Shi’ites off the bus, made them stand in a line and then opened fire.
This followed the July 14 release of Malik Mohammad Ishaq, one of the founding members of the LeJ, which has already claimed responsibility for the September 20 cold-blooded execution-style killing of 29 Shi’ite pilgrims of the Hazara community in the Mastung area of Balochistan.
All those killed were on their way to Iran from Quetta. Armed with Kalashnikovs and rocket launchers, the attackers stopped the bus and forced the pilgrims to get off. While women and children were spared, they were made to witness the execution of their dear ones who were lined up and sprayed with bullets.
It was the deadliest attack on the Shi’ite community in Pakistan since September 4, 2010, when a suicide bomber killed 57 people at a procession in Quetta. The Mastung attack is not an isolated incident, but part of a systematic campaign of violence directed towards the Shi’ite community. Why forget the killing and extermination of hindus by muslims in 1947? And all pakistanis rejoiced (and even today rejoice) that the hindus and sikhs had (have) been exterminated from the “land of the pure”.
Are you sensitive only to shia blood flow? The shias too rejoiced when hindus were exterminated in Pakistan. Was General Yahya Khan not a shia?
I have been browsing this website a lot lately. The one thing that I have noticed is that “hiob” is persistently one-sided in his analysis of historical and contemporary Pakistan. You are right (in a sense). The blood of Christians, Hindus, Jews, apostates, athiests, blasphemers, Hazaras, Pashtuns, Balochis, Bengalis, Punjabis, Sikhs, Afghanis etc. has flown through the streets of Pakistan. But that isn’t to say that everyone in Pakistan has launched a systematic persecution of its minorities. As for the deaths that occurred during partition, they were brutal and unnecessary. In fact, they even disillusioned Chaudhrey Rehmat Ali. But let’s be honest and admit that what happened in the Punjab was mutual violence between muslims and non-muslims. Equal amounts of people died on both sides. So yes the muslims wrongly killed many non-muslims. But the non-muslims did the same. This isn’t to say that either of them were right. They certainly were not. Just stop looking at history with a bias to prove Pakistanis as genocidal maniacs. And if you do decide to prove that, at least do the same for India.

You cannot equate violence by muslims with violence by hindus. Islam was created in Makkah – that is outside of the indian subcontinent (ISC). Islam’s followers have no right to determine politics, boundaries, culture etc. in the ISC. The muslims’ violence is the violence of aggressors, invaders and quislings. The violence of hindus is a reaction to that. It is the violence by the defender. It would be very unfair to equate the two.
In spite of that I agree that hindus too should not use violence, since it solves no human problem. I object to the two violences being equated. But that does not mean that I justify the hindu violence.
Are any hindus doing violence in Makkah or determining politics etc. in Arab lands? What would arabs do if any hindus try it there? So don’t equate hindu defender’s violence with the muslim aggressor’s or quisling’s violence.
After this important differetiation and its acceptance as valid we can discuss how to attain a world without violence and hate.
Not all pakistanis are violence-doers. But history-writing in Pakistan is controlled by those who wish to poison the minds of children in Pakistan. This child-molestation in Pakistan must come to an end.

@ HIOB: Muslims have been in the Indian Sub- Continent since the 11th Century and they are here to stay. Wnether you like it or not, Islam is one of the religions of India. Hindiusm is not the only game in town. Violence is inherent in all religions including Hinduism. Asoka converted to Buddhism after the Kalinga War. The Mahabharat and Ramayyan are full of blood and gore. Even if Muslims were to disappear from the face of the Earth, violence would not end.

Let us leave Hindu-Muslim questions aside. What is difficult to understand is why Sunni Muslims kill Shia Muslims. What purpose is served by this kind of killing? To a rational mind it appears pointless because one can not kill all Shias. It has not happened in centuries; why not put a stop to it? Live and let live!

For the time being, this is how I will reply to you “Hiob.” I have no intention of turning this story into a flame war. My reply is simple. Look at “wonderer’s” post. Read his post. Understand his post. Is he not saying something similar to what you’re saying? Is he not saying how dumb this “muslim on muslim” or “human on human” violence is? Yet he is so respectful and polite when he says it. I can actually engage in meaningful discourse with him. To all the people who are criticizing Islam/Pakistan, no one is saying that you cannot do it at all. As a Pakistani and a nominal muslim, I criticize both of them often. But if you do criticize any country or any religion, do it with respect and intellect.
To “wonderer,” it sucks that people are killing each other for slight variations( arguably) in their beliefs. But then again Europe achieved peace after centuries of religious fighting. Let us hope that our part of the world may achieve that end soon and without so much bloodshed.

Well I guess “nominal” muslim isn’t the completely accurate term.
When I say that, I mean people who are culturally muslim (kind of), people who identify with Islam (yet don’t necessarily believe all of it). Perhaps “culturally muslim” would be the better term? I think what you’re trying to say is that once can be a muslim OR a non-mulsim. Christian or non-christian. There is no in-between. I agree with that on a theoretical level. But personally, in Pakistan too, many people create their own “in between”.For me, I identify with a lot of the religion yet I can’t accept certain things in it such as slavery/apostasy/blasphemy/(some of the bloodshed that was not justified in self-defense). But the way I act is somewhat influenced by Islam. But I am not a complete believer. Again there are probably better ways to describe it than “nominal muslim”.

If violence is here to stay then it is all the more necessary to differentiate between violence by the defender and the violence by the aggressors and their quislings.
To equate the violence by the defender with the violence by the aggressor and his quislings would be very unfair and disastrous. Does the kuran permit use of defensive violence only to the muslims?
Hindu religions have definitely taken up ideas from outside of India. Even from WAR (=West Asiatic Revelation-based) religions. But no hindu in India (Indian subcontinent ISC) has his loyalty outside of India. He does not look to arabs or turks for help in spiritual, intellectual, political or military mnatters. Hence the hindu is the self-respecting defender of his homeland and the muslim, with his helpers and instigators from outside of the ISC, is a quisling and bootlicker of foreigners. Taking ideas (or help or money or technology etc.) from others, even from foreigners, is not the wrong part. What is wrong with muslims in the ISC is that they are serving the interests of the arabs and turks (and China and USA) than have peace with their hindu brothers with whom they are genetically closer.
Look at the textbooks and media in Pakistan. They prove that Pakistan cannot exist without hate, anger and slander towards hindus and India. When will that change?
Furthermore if a thief offers peace in order to (or so that he can) retain his ill-begotten goods then such a peace offer has to be rejected.
Even a thief or killer can use decent language and polite acts and fool (some) people into thinking that he is the innocent harmless guy. That trick cannot be allowed to succeed. If the person who was robbed uses angry language then it does not mean he is the guilty party.
Look at the extermination of non-muslims in areas taken over by islam during the past 1400 years. And yet the muslims are taught that they are the innocent guys and the non-muslims are the imperialists.
The krishna stories are very old and have been mixed up over the course of time. But all their violence is defensive in nature. Kansa was killed because he committed crimes against his own people. To equate Kansa with Kanishka etc. is typical muslim concoction to slander everything hindu and forget the crimes of the muslims.

It was the custom among stalinists to term those who criticised Stalin and his bolshevism as mad and send them to a madhouse or concentration camp etc. You have that same stalinist-cum-islamic mentality. In 1947, at the time of partition, Muslims paid a horrific price for something they wanted, their promised land. On the other hand non-Muslims paid an equally horrific price for something they never wanted. This must be amongst the few instances in history (leaving out natural disasters), in which a section of people paid a horrific price for something they never wanted.
Muslims kill animals to please their god om Eid. Such a god however is not satisfied by animal blood alone. He soon demands human blood too. And muslims are out to exterminate non-muslim and let this blood flow in front of their god as their show of dedication to him. But when the population of non-muslims falls drastically then the muslims have to kill each other. That is why some fanatic mullahs did not want partitioning of british India. They told Jinnah that the muslims must have the possibility of exterminating more non-muslims than available in only a part of british India. Liberal muslims have never had the ability or the will to protect non-muslims. On the contrary, liberal muslims (even like Jinnah) have profited from all the exterminations of non-muslims done by the fanatic muslims and missionary muslims and aggressor muslims during the past 1400 years. Since muslims do not wish to practise family planning hence human life is cheap in islamic lands. The more the number of children per adult the more the bloodshed in the society.

A recent example – a well educated senior Pakistani in America – recently wrote an article drawing reader’s attention to steve job’s Islamic connection – somehow suggesting that Islamic blood contributed to steve job’s genius.
Majority of Muslims are islamists – may be to various degrees. Some are sophisticated islamists and some are honest islamists. Taliban are honest islamists and likes of salman taseer are sophisticated islamists. In the end they are all the same. Actually I prefer Taliban. It’s easier to deal with them. Islam can survive in only two conditions – weak and abundant kuffar or cheap and abundant natural resources. Pakistan has neither of those. There is a good supply of kuffar in china but they are very strong plus they are friends. There is abundant supply of kuffar in india but they are not weak anymore.
New kuffar is being explored and mined in Pakistan right now among the lesser pious sophisticated dishonest weak islamists. That will probably last for 20-30 yrs. Once that has been consumed, Pakistan will be left with pure honest islamists.

That Hindutva fundamentally aims at the preservation of the Brahminical system, based as it is on the exploitation of the ‘lower’ caste majority, has been pointed out by numerous scholars. In his incisive study of the Hindutva phenomenon, titled Saffron Fascism, Shyam Chand, a Dalit scholar and activist who served for many years as member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, quotes from a secret circular sent out by the RSS to its preachers. Special attention should be given to the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes so as to make them read the history written according to our dictates.
During riots the women of Mussalmans and Scheduled Castes should be gang-raped. Friends and acquaintances cannot be spared. The work should proceed on the Surat model.

Those opposed to Hindutva are to be murdered through false encounters. For this work the help of the police and semi-military [sic.] forces should always be taken.”[2]

In the face of this circular, no more evidence is needed to show what Hindutva actually bodes for the Dalit-Bahujans. It circular very clearly indicates that Hindutva aims essentially at preserving the oppression of the Dalit-Bahujans, in addition to the Muslims and Christians, on which the entire edifice of Brahminism stands.

Brahmin punishment to shudras
Christening: Good and auspicious names should be given to the Brahmins only. Kshatriyas should be given names connoting braveness and valour. Vaisyas’s name should be based on articles.
Sudras alone should be given names meaning disgrace and degradation. Further the word “Dasan” should be the suffix for all the sudra names. (Chap.2, S.31 and 32).
A Brahmin’s “Poonul” (thread) should be made of cotton. Khatriyas Poonul should be made 3 of janappa threads. Vaisyas Poonul should be made of goat’s hair. (Chap. 2.S.44).
Pigs & sudras: Any eatable article becomes polluted and unfit for consumption when:
(1) A pig dashes against, (2) hens and **** fly over, (3) when a dog looks at, (4) when a sudra touches. (Chap.3.S.241).
Any one, who offers anything eatable to a sudra after the ceremony will go to hell. Such a fool will be punished there. He will have to live there upside down. (Chap.3.S.249).
If the Brahmins happen to eat anything that has been tasted or touched by a sudra, that Brahmin should have intercourse with his wife that night and the dead will live in the motion of the wife for a month (Chap.3.S.250).
There are seven varieties of sudras:
(1) He who retreats in a war. (2) A prisoner in a war. (3) One who serves a Brahmin out of devotion. (4) Son of a prostitute. (5) One who is purchased. (6) One who is adopted. (7) One who is a traditional worker. (Chap.8.S.415).
Duties of the sudra: A sudra worships a Brahmin either for salvation or for his livelihood. It will be a good thing for him if he calls all others inferior to Brahmins. (Chap.10.S.122).
As the Kshatriyas have failed to perform rituals and as they neglected to worship the Brahmins, they are becoming sudras (Chap.10.S.43).
In any congregation, the Brahmin alone should eat first. If there is balance of food, that alone should be given to others. New clothes should be worn by Brahmins only and when they become old and torn they should be given to others. A sudra is entitled to receive only these. (Chap.8.S.125)
It is the duty of the king to order the sudra to serve the Brahmins. If the sudra refuses he should be punished and forced. (Chap.10.S.235).
A Brahmin could extract work from the sudra paying or without paying. Brahma has created the sudra only to work for the Brahmins. (Chap.8.S.413).
It is the main duty of the sudra to serve the other communities without jealousy. For his service he may get wages. (Chap.1.S.91).
Exploitation: The wealth of the sudra who does not perform yagna is to be deemed as the property of the Asuras. So his wealth could be plundered.. (Chap.7.S.248).
The wealth of the sudra could be forcibly plundered. No consent is needed. There need not be any hesitation. (Chap.11.S.13).
Even if a sudra is in a position to earn, he should not earn anything more than what is needed to his family. If any sudra does so, he may go against the Brahmins and be tortured. (Chap.10.S.126).
Punishment to sudras: If a sudra talks ill of a Brahmin his tongue should be cut off. (Chap.8.S.270).
If a sudra pronounces the name of a Brahmin or talks of his caste or accuses him, an iron rod ten inches long should be heated red-hot and thrust into the mouth of the sudra. (Chap.8.S.271).
If the sudra dictates the Brahmin to do a particular thing, boiled oil should be poured into the mouth and ears of the sudra. (Chap.8.S.272).
If the sudra hits at Brahmin’s hair beard, legs, neck, penis, his hands must be cut off. (Chap.8.S.283).
If the sudra sits in a seat along with a Brahmin, his hips should be scorched or he should be driven away from the town. (

In Chicago, several times, I took a taxi which Zia’s eldest son used to operate in pre-Mujahideen days. Because both of us originally hail from Jallundhur, I would tip him a dollar; my normal tip used to be 25 cents if I felt very pleased with the taxi-driver and also like Hatim Taa-e (very very generous).
