If Pakistan was an Islamic country
By Dur-e-Aden:
All citizens of the state would be equal: God forbids you not, as regards those who have not fought you in religion’s cause, nor expelled you from your habitations, that you should be kindly to them, and deal equitably with them; surely God loves those who are equitable (60:9).
Muslims won’t be afraid of being killed by their fellow Muslims: And whoso slays a believer wilfully, his recompense is Gehenna, therein dwelling forever, and God will be wroth with him and will curse him, and prepare for him a mighty chastisement (4:94).
Jews and Christians would be treated with utmost respect because they are our Abrahamic brothers: Surely they that believe, and those of Jewry, and the Christians, and those Sabeans, whoso believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness—their wage awaits them with their Lord, and no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow (2:63).
No matter what other countries do, we would never degrade any Prophet: Say you: We believe in God, and in that which has been sent down on us and sent down on Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, and the Tribes, and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and the Prophets, of their Lord; we make no division between any of them, and to Him we surrender (2:137).
We would protect the places of worships of all religious communities: And who does greater evil than he who bars God’s places of worship, so that His name be not rehearsed in them, and strives to destroy them? Such men might never enter them, save in fear; for them is degradation in the present world, and in the world to come a mighty chastisement (2:115).
We would never desecrate any holy book: He has sent down upon thee the Book with the truth, confirming what was before it, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel aforetime, as guidance to the people (3:4).
We would try to reach the level of piety that is demanded by Allah, not any Mullah:True piety is this: To believe in God, and the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the Prophets, to give of one’s substance, however cherished, to kinsmen, and orphans, the needy, the traveller, beggars, and to ransom the slave, to perform the prayer, to pay the alms. And they who fulfil their covenant, and endure with fortitude, misfortune, hardship and peril, these are they who are true in their faith, these are the truly god-fearing (2:178).
Men would give women the dowry: And give the women their dowries as a gift willingly (4:5).
Women won’t be forced into marriages: O believers, it is not lawful for you to inherit women against their will (4:20).
We will provide justice even to our enemies: Let not a people’s enmity incite you to act otherwise than with justice. Be always just, that is nearer to righteousness(5:9).
We won’t punish people for blasphemy in this world but leave the case for God to judge: Those who hurt God and his Messenger—them God has cursed in the present world and the world to come, and has prepared for them a humbling chastisement (33:58).
And lastly our religious or sectarian differences won’t come in between our common relationship of being Pakistanis: To you your religion, and to me my religion! (109:5).

Your post pulled me in a philosphoical mood. Since philosphy is inherently incoherent, it canb’t be serious business for the faithful. The rest of us, however, can amuse ourselves with it.
The earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, cosmic dust – all obey Allah’s laws with remarkable perfection. Never do they lose patience. Never do they veer off course. They submit perfectly. The same is the case with animals. They live by the laws Allah made for them, living by the instincts Allah has so carefully and lovingly programmed into them.
Animals as you noticed, never kill among themselves. They always kill others. The sun, the moon, the stars, the animals are all perfect Muslims. They follow Islam as Allah intends for them. On the day of the judgement they shall stand tall and high.
Man, whom Allah made the highest of the forms, on the other hand is easily distracted by shiny triflings. He forgets his true nature – which is to follow the instructions as laid out in the holy Quran. Muslims begin to kill themselves, although Quran encourages them differently.
On the judement day, in the presence of a just, compassionate, and loving Allah, those he made tall shall fall low, and true Muslims – the animals and inamimate objects of all varities – shall rise high.
What could be a greater and more beautiful proof of Allah’s justice and fairness?
India was lucky, Persia not so much…
Absent Islam, France would have been in Persia…and Seol would have been in Pakistan…
No one would believe that the words from sriptures, in this case the english translations of a number of Quraan suras would attract the attention of numberless devil’s advocates!!
I learnt at a young age that once the Indians learn to read and write, they indulge themselves in reading every kind of published material? I was not aware though that they would attempt to comprehend?
No sir, your kind is not the blessed one at birth and with the will of God you are not meant to decode all the mysteries of the universe which are explained in the scriptures. You need to qualify first to be able to understand the divine words.
With regard to discrimination against fellow citizens on account of faith or ethnic divide. it is categoricaly forbidden, has been sermoned by the Prophets of God and so recorded in scriptures.
Anyone of Ibrahimic faith denying this right is in the denial of God and his commandments and shall face the consequences. Are all countries conform to God’s commandments? Certainly not, and I leave it to the smart non-muslims to judge for themselves who the culprits are?
But let no one fool himself by accepting the words of a tyrant who denies freedom to the citizens or justifies discrimination on religion grounds.
The corections in my view in the Islamic countries is on the horizon, young men and women have started the revolution to rid themselves of the despots and autocratic rulers, and to create a modern Islamic State.

@Salman arshad
Did you mean a secular country or a secular Govt.?
If the former, then what sort of constitution and rules of laws, this secular country is likely to adopt? Do you foresee the French constitution model, which the Indian Govt. went for or the Brits who do not have a written constitution?
Who would you regard as the model to follow in setting moral and ethic standards? Would you consider allowing Kiff smoking for the people like in the Netherlands as well as allow the marriage of like sexes as is in practiced in some States of the USA?
Mind you majority of the people in your country are muslims?
Thanks,
Rex Minor
Its taken a little more than a century from “no flight” to “travel to the edge of solar sysytem”. 14 centuries is more than enough time for Islam to prove itself of whatever it claims.
“God” is an idea to describe the situations which human beings are unable to comprehend things like universe, human origin, life etc. As an example – somebody flying in 14th century will be divine and Godly because it is beyond comprehension at the time, but somebody flying in current times is not divine. It is referred to as “air travel”.
If there is a God –
it is more likely to say –
“It doesn’t matter what name you call me, I am beyond your languages and beyond the names you give me”
THEN “My name is —-” –
it is more likely to say –
” Never stop questioning. That’s the way to truth and that’s how I made you”
THEN “Follow my messenger. I have told everything to him. Everything else is garbage- don’t quesition the messenger or else I punish you in hell”
Belief in God is belief in the inability of humang beings to comprehend in their own existence and the existence of the universe. How can I not believe in the inability of myself in explaining my own existence? The only way to do that is if I can explain the existence of universe and life.
Its like saying I don’t believe in Sun. It doesn’t matter. We all believe in Sun. It is impossible to not believe in Sun.Some might call it different names – doesn’t matter.
Some call it BigBang, some call it black hole, some call it black matter, some call it Allah and others call it Christ. It doesn’t matter. At the end of the day its the same idea. We don’t understand the origin of Universe, we don’t understand the origin of life and we don’t understand God.
THE PROBLEM starts when some people say God talks to them and has given them divine authority or when they say they have a book from God and do what is written in the book or you are a toast. I have no words to describe this stupidity.
I will stop here and let the God given goodness and intelligence take over from here. I am sure God will not fail.
Btw do visit chowk – a couple of good reads there…
Bottomline: Pakistan is not an “Islamic” country. Pakistan’s name should be changed from “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” to “Republic of Pakistan” with no State Religion.
Guys
Since many of you feel that associating Pakistan with Islam dishonors your individual Islam, why not kill two birds with one stone? “Hindu Republic of Pakistan” would not only save your individual Islam’s shaan, it will appropriately assign Pakistan’s problems (as you see them) to where they belong – the caste system, the local culture, and the Indian media.
Count how many times Indian posters present Hinduism as solution and then compare…
@ Kaalchakra (December 12, 2011 at 7:25 pm)
“Republic of Pakistan” sounds good enough.
Kaalchakra
That will be impossible as Hindu Dharma forbid and abhor inbreeding and civilized world will have hard time comprehending any association of terrorism with the Snatan Dharm. we have no divine command about secula slavery and formula of distributing booty of flesh and material. No Pakistani open his /her mouth without invoking the God of Muhamamdan so Pakistan is very much a islamic country. Lets not disrob them of the light and glory of islam earned by them since the arrival of MBQ to present dispensation. We have long way to fall in such pit to arrive at such high noble destination of human living .
sta
lslamic Republic does NOT mean that Pakistan has fully implemented Islam. It merely means that Islam is Pakistan’s vision – Pakistan’s identity, its past, its future, the source of its wisdom, and the repository of its hopes – these are the things that most Pakistani Muslims who wish to live by Islam, by clear principles as laid out in the Quran, would agree on.
A Muslim knows he does not always measure up to Islamic perfection. Sometimes even a Muslim can make a mistake. But, for that limitation, he does not stop calling himself a Muslim! He knows so long as he remains a Muslim he is on the right path. He continues to call himself a Muslim only because sooner or later, he hopes to become what a Muslim is. And, that is, to him, or to any Muslim, the most worthy goal.
The same for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
We don’t hear these silly debates and doubts in Iran. In Pakistan, there really seems to be too much influence of India, of caste, of culture – essentially Hinduism. Sad from the point of view of good Muslims, but true. A thousand years of Islamic rule in a place like the Sindh, and that place is still not Islamic.
(It may be those who are calling for Pakistan to not be identified with Islam are not even Muslims – at least some of them – and don’t want Pakistan to serve the cause of Islam on this planet.)
@ Kaalchakra (December 12, 2011 at 11:22 pm)
Strictly going by definition, “Muslim” is one who calls himself Muslim. “Islamic”, on the other hand, is the state of truly reflecting the features and attributes of Islam. Hence, you can someone who leads an absolutely un-Islamic life, but is a Muslim because he simply has opted to call himself a Muslim. But this person, would not be called “Islamic”.
sta
IMHO that is a false dichotomy manufactured by some people who do not wish to follow Islam. But I would most humbly accept it if we could been shown where in the Quran Allah distinguishes between a person who is Muslim and who follows Islam – and is Islamic.
I find your understand and judgment of the Koran a personal indictment on your abilities to reason, which is disgraceful , you build a tower to your self your, own beliefs, with words stolen from the Book, justifying, the most heinous of crimes ,when Allah is the most merciful , do you think your judgments are greater than Allah,Islam is a law abiding, peace loving, forgiving ideology ,that has been butchered by zoinest, elitism , and with your Chauvinistic abstract of the truth , in justifying murder or harm of innocents or/ those in need of/or under protection or custody,

The word ‘Islam” sounds like a nightmare to you, Qadiani lot. Better go to Qadian to establish your own KKK…..

IF Pakistan was an ‘Islamic’ country, you wouldn’t be writing this crap on the internet. Try this our in ‘Islamic’ country like Saudia Arabia and find it for yourself. I believe you are lucky to live comfortably in Pakistan yet malign it for reasons of beliefs in your absurd cult.
Nothing will change in Pakistan unless and until democratically laws are decided….yours has already been so why all this grudge and flustering??
You Mirzai’s suffer from guilt….which doesn’t let you live in peace!
@AKB
No guilt at all. I assure you. Ahmadis are peace with their Creator because the path they have taken is to please Allah. Ahmadis are peace with themselves because their conscience is at peace.
