Are Ahmadis Non-Muslims?

The poison of ignorance and extremism that Bhutto and General Zia jointly fathered during their dictatorial regimes has fully indoctrinated even those who otherwise describe themselves as educated.
This week the Large Hadron Collider at the CERN inched closer to the discovery of Higgs Boson or the God Particle as it were. In this extraordinary story of human achievement, Dr. Abdus Salam is a key player who put Pakistan on the map of theoretical physics. In his homeland though, a group of self-styled champions of Islam have started a posthumous campaign of scurrilous slander claiming that Dr. Salam was giving out nuclear secrets. Forget that even a confirmed bigot like General Zia held a ceremony in our only nobel prize winner’s honour or that no one ever accused Dr. Salam of any such thing; in Pakistan to be a hero you have to actually transfer technology to Iran, Libya and North Korea.
Now consider the case of 11 year old Sitara Akbar. Every Pakistani and his mother in law are citing her as a crowning national achievement, blissfully oblivious of the fact that she is an Ahmadi. To them her religion is suddenly unimportant or irrelevant or is it? How many Sitara Akbars have been expelled from our schools for being Ahmadi? How many productive citizens of this republic have been killed and maimed for believing differently?
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s National Assembly imagined itself the Islamic equivalent of the Council of Nicea. Just as that ancient bastion of Christian orthodoxy excommunicated unitarian Christians for not believing in the trinity of the father, son and the holy ghost, the National Assembly saw it fit to – primarily at the instigation of the Prime Minister and his law minister- declare an entire sect non-Muslim. Just like the post hoc elevation of the principle of trinity at Nicea, Pakistan’s National Assembly located Islam in the principle of the finality of Prophethood.
This act of our sovereign legislature stood in sharp contrast to the view of this nation’s founding father. On 5 May, 1944, in response to demands of the orthodox vis a vis Ahmadis, Jinnah made it absolutely clear that anyone who professes to be a Muslim is a Muslim and welcome in the Muslim League and that those who were raising the issue were trying to divide the Muslims. Here I am forced to say that I am inclined to accept Jinnah’s view and reject the collective wisdom of our sovereign legislature. There are several reasons which may be cited in this regard:
- First and foremost Pakistan is bound by the United Nations’ charter. Therefore Pakistan is bound to ensure freedom of religion for all its citizens and freedom of religion means freedom of religion according to the definition of the subject of the said freedom.
- Identity is subjective not objective. The state of Pakistan or any other state cannot tell an Ahmadi that he is not a Muslim because it is intrinsic to the faith of an Ahmadi. This is an inviolable, inalienable right as part of right to life which every state in the world is bound to protect. If Ahmadis say they are Muslims they ought to be accepted as such.
- Pakistan is a signatory to the ICCPR and without reservations since June 2011. Therefore every piece of legislation that discriminates against Ahmadis or forces a label upon them is ultra vires the ICCPR.
- The Islamic argument: According to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) anyone who utters the Kalima Shahadah is a Muslim. None of the Kalimas, including the Primary Kalima Shahadah contains any reference to the principle of the finality of Prophethood as understood by the Muslim majority today.
- Finally because by conduct and promise, Pakistani state is estopped from claiming otherwise. In 1947, Pakistan laid claim to Qadian as a Muslim holy place, a counter-blast to Sikh claims on Nankana Sahib and Hassan Abdal. Similarly in 1946 elections which is the basic referendum on the question of Pakistan, Ahmadi votes were instrumental in getting Muslims Pakistan. These are undeniable facts of history.
Therefore- fully aware of the stigma attached to this statement- I concur with Quaid-e-Azam Mahomed Ali Jinnah, thefounding father of Pakistan that Ahmadis are Muslims, if they say they are Muslims and no one, not even the sovereign legislature, has the right to say otherwise.

In light of sachbol, AKB, and Bib Ismail’s suggestions, a consensus term such as ‘Mohammadi Kaffir’, in place of ‘Muslims’ for Ahmadis might end this otherwise endless conflict.
Kaffir is not a bad term, and if Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian himself embraced it, he probably did it for a reason. Let’s accept it and be done with all this fighting, bad blood, and blood-letting. There are more important human problems waiting to be solved.

Guru Nanak also believed in One Rab or God…..he also respected Muhammad and krishna without cheating them or their creed yet he pronounced his own separate belief…I salute him for his courage and honesty. But everyone here will note that the Qadianis screwed Quranic terminology to eke out an illogical and baseless pretext to denounce finality of prophet Muhamaad as well as denounce the higher status of prophet Jesus. Almost every week, an ahmadi is killed or torturesd for being hmadi in pakistan.
The May 12 attacjs on ahmai mosques during friday prayer saw 95 ahmadis murdered and shahid, and when Salman Taseer, the governor, stood up for ahmadis d other minority sects, he was murdered.
Even if these attacks were carried out byextremist groups, they were spurred on by a video in which a sunni muslim mullah, cleric, urged eveyryone one that ahmadis were kafir nd so deserved to be killed.
So many.more things, you can go look up wikipedia or better still, go read the official documents in the pakistan governmental institutions.

IF Almighty wanted a reformer for Islamic dogma then Mirza would have been born some where in Arabia or other Muslim area. The Ajlaf convert has/had no validity at the core of Islamic world. It serve no puspose to be born in Kuffar land India , espcially Punjab which is the home and original source of spiritual light and wisdom.
Instead Almighty wanted a new path of God realization and he sent not one but 10 Gurus to protect the Dharma which was under attack from Mlecchic Adharmic forces. Rest is history as the very foundation of Adharma was uprooted from Indian soil and it have been retreating ever since ,defeated in both religious thought and battlefield.

A prehistoric religion based on mythologies is safer than one based on a fascist god concept from tribal Arabs.

Since you will not stop drinking milk, and since 70 -100 per cent of the milk has been adulterated with very dangerous adulterants according to Food Safety Standards Authority of India FSSAI, you should learn how to make out real milk from synthetic. Milk samples from all over the country were checked for fat (%), SNF (%), neutralizers, acidity, hydrogen peroxide, sugar, starch, glucose, urea, salt, detergents, skimmed milk powder, formalin and vegetable fat. Most of the samples were found to be adulterated.

This is how synthetic milk is made: Vegetable refined oil is taken in a wide mouthed container along with a suitable emulsifier and thoroughly mixed till it becomes a thick white paste. Water is slowly added to the paste until the density of the liquid is similar to that of milk. Then is added urea or sodium sulphate or glucose or maltose or sometimes any one of the commonly available fertilizers after dissolving in hot water. The refined oil in synthetic milk acts as a source of fat whereas the hot solution of any one of the substances above mentioned acts as a source of solids not fat (SNF). The ingredients that go in to the making of synthetic milk are calculated in such a way that the fat and SNF percentage is similar to mixed milk. Hence it easily passes the tests carried out at the village level dairy co-operative society (fat and lactometer reading etc.).

This is the difference between real and synthetic milk. The colour of both is white. But on storage real milk remains white, synthetic milk or adulterated milk turns pale yellow. If rubbed on the palm, synthetic milk becomes foamy. Real milk does not. Real milk does not change colour on heating. Synthetic milk turns yellow on boiling. The pH value of real milk is 6.6 – 6.8 and of synthetic milk 10-11 (extremely alkaline). The fat content is the same in both: 4.5 – 5 per cent, the SNF (Solid Not Fat) is also the same 8-9 per cent.

In my opinion, “all” forms of bigotry, hatred, chauvinism and persecution, whether political, societal or religious are wrong. There is certainly an ideological onslaught against Islam but there is also an ideological harassment of smaller groups of Muslims at the hands of larger groups of Muslims. Mullahs representing the larger sects, hand in hand with politicians, or shall we say in bed with politicians, will readily persecute smaller sects. All forms of chauvinism and bigotry need to be condemned.

first of all you are a non_Muslims Mirzai and your claim against oppression of Muslim minorities at the hands of Muslim majority in a Muslim majority land is uncalled for and unwarranted. such oppression and vica versa happen almost everywhere in the world, including India and America. It is a ubiquitous natural human trait which ought to be checked but cannot be totally eliminated. However, all Muslim countries have laws to protect all citizens regardless of their religion and the Mirzai’s for example are protected by the Blasphemy Laws ……yet they scream the most because they are imitators of Muslims…on the other hand none of the non_muslims such as the Hindu’s or Christians cry over oppression at the hands of Muslims. this proves that Mirzai’s have unjust cause for their vested interest and whatever they spew out againt Muslims is out of jealousy and hatred….not only against the Muslims but also against the non-Muslims all over the world!!

IT’S A true story. I have told it once, and I shall tell it again.

”THE ORTHODOX claim that they, and only they, are the real Jews and the rightful heirs of thousands of years of history.
They are quite right.
The Founding Fathers declared that they wanted to create a “new Jew”. Actually they created a new nation, the Israeli.
David Ben-Gurion, an avid Zionist, said that the Zionist Organization was the scaffolding for the building of the State of Israel, and with the building complete, it should be discarded. I go much further: Zionism as such was the scaffolding, and should now be discarded. The pretense that this is a “Jewish” state is the continuation of a fiction that may have been necessary at the beginning, but is redundant and even harmful now.
This pretense underlies the present situation: the Orthodox are considered by Israelis as a part of the Jewish-Israeli community, while behaving as a foreign people. It is not just that they do not salute the Israeli flag (as mentioned: the prayer shawl with the Star of David) and refuse to celebrate Independence Day (much like the Arab citizens, by the way) – but they also refuse to serve in the army or perform any other national service.
This is now one of the main bones of contention in Israel. Officially, the Orthodox claim that all their young men who are liable to be drafted – some 15 thousand every year – are busy studying the Talmud and cannot stop even for a day, much less for three years, like ordinary students. One rabbi declared last week that they actually serve the country more than ordinary combat soldiers, because they assure divine protection of the state.
The Supreme Court – so it seems- is not so much impressed by the divine protection and recently annulled a law that exempts the Orthodox, causing a political scramble for alternatives. A new law circumventing the court is in the making.”
