Karachi: Fairgrounds, demos, devils and more

Zulfiqar Mirza’s theatrics, Altaf Hussain’s histrionics, rabble-rouser Qureshi’s anti climax (of Nuclear Arsenal under threat episode), Munawwar Hasan’s ‘No one loves me’ rants, Fazlur Rehman’s alarm bells of Islam in danger, the new theatrical production is a rally by JuD for “Difa-e-Pakistan”. Welcome to Karachi fairgrounds.

First swearing Mirza damned MQM for posing threat to Pakistan’s integrity, then Altaf Hussain waved the map of so called balkanization of Pakistan. Thereafter, Imran came with a life line for Pakistan (he will only share the details when he will come to power) then Munawwar Hasan called on the bearded and hijabis to save Pakistan. Most recently Fazlur Rehman brandished a red flag and now Hafiz Saeed of JuD, Ahmad Ludhianvi of ASWJ and others have jumped on the bandwagon to defend state of Pakistan.

This new religio-political alliance ‘Difa-e-Pakistan’ has been founded amid rising tensions between Pakistan with United states over negotiations for a role in post-US withdrawal Afghanistan; and in the aftermath of NATO Air strikes killing Pakistan Army soldiers. It aims to keep Pakistan clear of US and her allies’ footprint. Pakistani nationalists’ narrative keeps the anti-US indignation alive assuming that this will lead to Pakistan’s central place in Afghanistan negotiations. To keep the momentum, it also fights on its favourite terrain by declaring again and again that India is an existential threat.

That is why, the patron in chief of Difa-e-Pakistan council, Jamatud Dawaa (JuD) and its pouplar anti-India slogans like “India ka Jo yaar hei ghaddar hei”, “Bharat ko Pasandida mulk kehne walo, apne pasandida mulk chaley jao” etc are writings on the walls of Karachi,almost in every locality. The turf wars between various political and religious groups can be traced through the walls, buildings and electric poles, which have slogans and flags of that particular group in control of the territory sprayed and hoisted over all of them. But it seems JuD is an exception. MQM strongholds in Baldia, Orangi Town as well as People’s Aman committee home territory, Lyari, and also ANP influenced areas have JuD slogans on the white washed walls for their propaganda. Thus reaffirming how divided and intolerant we are to each other; and yet unified against the eternal foes.

The deep state’s orchestrated “perceived threat narrative” has its pluggers in political and religious parties and media, who on the domestic and international front, have adequate stuff to disseminate and regurgitate. The right wing religious allies’ need an internal adversary as well to highlight ”perceived threat narrative” at domestic front. On political front, JUD targets the secular political parties, while on the religious front, it targets lesser Muslims such as Shias and Ahmedis, and less “pure” Pakistanis i.e the Christians and the Hindus.

JuD has chose Satellite town in Rawalpindi to hold an anti-Ahmedi demonstration and its counterpart ASWJ or the banned Sipah-e-Sahaba has heightened its activites by killing people from Shia sect in Karachi on daily basis.

But persecution of minority sects whether Shias or Ahmedis by these forces goes unheeded. The proponents of Difa-e-Pakistan take no issue of killings of less “patriotic” elements by the national security institutions in Balochistan, Swat and FATA, the same way their criminal actions against internal adversaries too are ignored.

It is feared that the forthcoming show by difa-e-Pakistan council in Karachi fairground along with the brags and blusters of the infuriated mullahs will bring worst for the already besieged Shia community.

Pakistanis (and as muslims) lack the intelligence to see that their “identity” is hopelessly anti “something or the other”. Destroying this “other” is the climax of pakistani “success”. If islam had been a good, wise, intelligent religion then it would not have come to this. The street-gangs, law courts, armed forces, landlords, burocrats, muslim religious teachers etc. of Pakistan are these destroyers. God is going to use Pakistan as an instrument of destruction only. The worse is yet to come. If a religion is fascistic then it is bound to end up like this. Inventing hate (anger, irrationality), constructing hate, encouraging hate, propagating hate … are the daily routines of important pakistanis (muslims).

You can’t do anything good for such people. Even the arabs and turks (who form the racial elite and ruling strata of islam) are not as islamocrazy as the pakistani muslims. This religion from Arabia is a mental illness, especially when it infects non-arabs.

Why you so called secular liberals are so against Islam and Muslims is beyond sense?Why you poeple always target Islamists only?If you want every body have the freedom to practice what they choosen to believe in,then you must accept the same for the Islamists as well.By calling them extremists and trouble makers,you condemning them before giving them the freedom to do so.In a so called free soceity,it should be allowed equal to every body same.But when it comes Islamists,you start criticising out right.They are the citizen of Pakistan and must be giving a voice in the countery.But you do not do so.So as you call them extremist,so that people should ignore them.By doing so,in my view you are more extremist and trouble maker and worse from them.

Soon there will be an election in Pakistan.So let the people make choices like who govern the country.People are the choosers and not you or me alone make the choice for them alone.
As to the Observe,I would say he is a mentlecase,nut and stupid to hate one of the great religion of the world.Shame on him.

What is happening in and to my Motherland, Pakistan. It is believe-it-or not spellbinding and mindboggling. It seems people are not the chosers as Sardar Khan from the UK suggests, they are (don’t mind my Pinglish pleas!!) chosers but just ‘choozas’ , ie equivalent of chicken feed in reality or Realty terms.
We have a Prime Munster who first bought his first car, a FX Suzuki in 1974 (and swent round town showing it off in spite of no visible means of support) off of some random payola; and now is a Dollar Billionaire; as he talks non-U and demoncratic nonSense, he marrows ankhein (winks/blinks from Left eye). Seems we are incapable of understanding body language of lour rulers, footas and chamchas. Cha Cha Cha!!!

This religion was born in a desert & wherever it went it produced deserts. Its time to shun this seventh century tribal culture of arabian peninsula which is utterly alien to 21st century. It only breeds violence & hatred against the rest of humanity.

Islam is already 1400 years old. Islam has had more resources and time at its disposal than many other ideologies. Wherever islam has taken over the society – there backwardness, violence, irrationality, lies, fascism, genocides against non-muslims have been the rule. The situation in islamic lands is not only bad, but it is also worsening. Islam is an expansionist, imperialist, militarist and violence-glorifying ideology. Its monotheism is totalitarian and fascistic. Islam is also an instrument of arab hegemony and racism upon non-arabs.

I hope you are not such a dishonest or deluded or stupidified man as not to have noticed all this. Islam survives because of the cowardice, opportunism and stupidities of the muslims. Islam has an interest in keeping muslims like that. Fortunately some muslims, due to their contacts with non-muslims, are not imprisoned in/by islam. I hope that these non-stupid muslim-borns will be able to liberate people like you from the fascism of islam and that you will develop the courage and wisdom to listen to them.
